I have enjoyed breeding dogs for over 10 years. My purpose is to breed quality attitudes and temperaments into dogs with wonderful conformation. I use the AKC’s (American Kennel Club) breed standards as a measurement guide. I love to see the dogs hit the show ring & the agility trials. I own mostly registered dogs, but have a few purebred dogs that have NEVER been registered, and are bred for pets only.. Occasionally, I rescue or have surrendered dogs and find new families for them. So once in a while I have animals that have not been bred here at Small Wonders. Sometimes the registration is withheld, and at other times it is unavailable. Surrendered or rescued dogs are kept & trained under some stress for a minimum of 30 days, so that I may know the type of family where the dog will best fit in. These dogs are listed on the puppy page, when they are available.
It is imperative that you receive a dog that is geared to your life style. The temperament and attitude must match your personality. I want each dog to become an integral part of your family, just as they have been with me during their earliest days. Each pup is welcomed into this world with purpose. Regardless of breed, they are to be your companion. So they are handled, groomed, talked to, played with and loved each day.
They are raised in my home and socialized with all types of animals: large and small dogs, cats, chickens, horses and a WIDE variety of humans of various ages and sizes. Training begins when they are weaned. As an accomplished trainer, I do my best to instill fundamental training, so you may receive your dog with whatever training has been accomplished in the short time they stay with me.
Adoption of one of my dogs will only occur to approved homes. Home inspections may occur before, during and/or after placement. You assume full responsibility for the dog's health, training, appearance, temperament and continued socialization. Any cases of neglect, abuse, undue health strain or obesity shall result in voluntary release of the dog back to me. If at any time in the life of the dog, it is impossible for you to continue to care for the dog properly; you will surrender the dog to me for 1. Holding until your situation changes or 2. For placement into a new home.
